My name is Michael Hamilton (Mike Ham) for short and I’m a New York-based painter, illustrator, and visual storyteller. My work draws inspiration from my childhood—my favorite cartoons, music, sports, and the experiences that have shaped my life. I’m passionate about representing figures and icons who resonate with me, particularly Black athletes, musicians, and artists who have had a meaningful impact on my journey.

Through my paintings, I explore storytelling, symbolism, and emotion. I use color, composition, and subtle messaging to bring my subjects to life, creating works that celebrate culture, identity, and the moments that define us. My style blends realism with illustrative and graphic influences, bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary visual language.
